Hello beauties! I hope everyone’s Friday is going well.
Today’s something is a Yogurt Mask by the brand Itibiti. First off, let’s talk about the packaging! It really reminds me of YAKULT! A probiotic drink I use to love when I was growing up. I was browsing Althea.kr when I saw this very interesting mask go on sale. I didn’t really expect anything over the top from this mask. I purchased two individual masks priced at $1.80 each .It was originally priced at $3.10.
I assumed the mask was just another gimmick to attract more buyers but once I tried it, I really loved how the mask felt. It was so soft. It had the consistency of a hydrogel and cotton mask. Soaked in jelly like essence that was clear and it smelled like sweet yogurt. One thing to mention about this mask was that it was so delicate and really stretchy. I had to keep a light hand in applying it. The scent was a really sweet yogurt.
Attain deep moisture form yogurt extract. This mask adds glow to your skin without the greasy feel. Moisturizing and nourishing mask sheet formulated yogurt and with lactic acid fermented extracts. Gives a soft and clean complexion with lemons, pomegranate and apple extracts to clarify skin bringing out a healthier complexion. Adenosine which was responsible for anti ageing. Aloe leaf extract for extra moisture. Non greasy. Weighs 25 grams. Made in Korea.
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Yogurt Extract (1000ppm), Polysorbate 80, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Adenosine, Disodium Edta, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus/lemon Peel Ferment Extract, Lactobacillus/punica Granatum Fruit Ferment Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Fragrance
How to use:
- Cleanse face, tone then moisturize if desired.
- Leave mask on a clean face for 10-20 minutes.
- Gently pat remaining essence on face and neck. Do not rinse.
The mask was soaked in so much essence. It was rather thin to touch and stretches quickly! I had to put it on my face before it widens. If I had to play around with it for pictures, it could have just over stretched. That’s how thin and soft the mask was. The mask in general had a mesh like type appearance and was more textured on the outer layer. The inner layer was really soft similar to a hydrogel type of mask. It was like hydrogel and cotton mask combined.
The cutting lines of the mask was really huge on the eyes and mouth area. I tried spreading it out a bit but the mask would overstretch so I just placed it on. There where only a few slits of the mask which were located on each side of the lower cheek area.
Clear jelly like texture and lightweight. The essence was easily absorbed on my skin. I was thinking the essence would come in a yellowish to cream in color because it really reminded me of the yakult drink, but it was just clear. For the “non greasiness” claims, I could still feel the tacky after mask effect but it was not “as sticky”.
My skin type:
Oily combination skin. My T-zone (forehead, nose and chin area) tends to get oily during the day and I get dry patches on the sides of my nose, cheek area and along the edges of my lips.
Moisturizing and nourishing indeed! I enjoyed this mask a lot. I love the scent, the texture despite the mask over stretching and nearly breaking apart. It was so light and soft to touch. After my nightly skincare routine, I slapped this mask on then left it for about 30 minutes. The mask was still damp after but I had to pull it out to avoid the reverse sheet mask effect (sheetmasks may dry out your skin if left on more than instructed, hence the reverse effect). My skin was immediately brighter in complexion and very moisturized. The inflammed bumps on my face reduced in size and my skin felt so soft and smooth to touch until the next day. Perfect for adding more moisture for dehydrated skin and preventing dry patches which I always get during the cooler months. The only downside of the mask was the fitting of it and how it overstretches if mishandled. A tip for that is to apply the mask immediately to prevent ruining the mask. I would highly recommend this for all skin types.
Effectiveness: It moisturized my skin without any irritations since I have sensitive skin. Tamed my inflammed bumps. Made my skin plump and a little brighter. Dry patches around my nose disappeared immediately.
Packaging: On point! I have to admit that I tried this mask because I liked the packaging.
Price: It was on sale! So okay.
Availability: Didn’t give a point for this because it was only available online. It would be great if I could pick this mask off at any local drugstore or beauty hub.
What Korean skincare products have you guys tried?
