How to use:
POREfessional face primer:
-Apply a thin layer to clean, moisturized skin from the center of the face outward.
-Wait a few seconds and apply makeup as usual or wear alone.
Roller lash curling & lifting mascara:
-Start with the wand held horizontally with the tip of the curve pointing downward. Gently wiggle the wand from base of lashes to tip.
-As the wand moves up the lashes, slowly rotate the tip inward and up so the curve of the wand matches the eye contour, coating even the innermost and outermost lashes.
Hoola matte bronzer:
-Apply it under the cheekbones to sculpt and define.
-Use short brush strokes from the top of the cheekbone down towards the chin for an easy, everyday contoured look.
Benetint cheek & lip stain:
-Draw three small strokes across the apple of your cheeks. Blend quickly in a circular motion with fingertips.
-Apply Benetint evenly on your lips.
The mini bag or kit was really cute. I could swap this for a travel makeup bag since it was designed for travel sized items. Out of the four sample sized benefit best sellers, the only product that did not work for me was the roller lash mascara. It had a beautiful fan applicator but the formula was a bit heavy on the lashes. It did dry up quickly but my lashes were really weighed down after applying just one coat of it.
Moving on to the benetint. The tint was cherry red and very water like in texture. Although it seemed to be pigmented, after blending it with my fingers the tint gives off a very light to natural shade. I had to go over my cheeks twice to give a little bit more pigment. It was not sticky and could withstand sweat and heat. I tested it out for a hike up on the hills and it lasted the whole day of activities.
The hoola bronzer was my most loved item out of the bunch. It had not red tones, no shimmer and a true brown color pigment. Although a sample size this could last me months. I could even use this to define my crease.
Lastly would be the porefessional primer. The primer had a very velvety texture to it smilar to a moisturizer. It did smoothen out my pores and made my makeup. My face was getting a little shiny after 4 hours with makeup especially on the T-zone.
Bottom line, so was it worth the money to spend $32? Partly yes and no. Yes because I really wanted to try the hoola bronzer plus there were other product samples I thought that might impress me. And no because I could have just gone for the full sized hoola bronzer instead. The other items in the bag did not really work for me but guess it was fun to try. The thing when shopping in Sephora, you can’t really go in there and just look around. Everything in it was so tempting to buy! Until the next post.
