Benefit’s Roller Lash Review

When I got this in my Benefit’s Work It Kit I had to admit that I was really excited to try it out. I heard so much good reviews about this mascara that I just needed to grab it. As soon as I saw it on sold in sephora, included in the kit. I immediately checked out and purchased it online. I have a full review on the Benefit’s Work Kit Girl . This was my very first time to try Benefit cosmetics because back home, in Baguio City, Philippines not a lot of makeup brands are sold. I had to purchased it online, but back then, let’s just say I did not have the budget to waste it on makeup. But now of course, I’m still very frugal when it comes to spending on makeup( that’s why I prefer sample sizes) because I hate spending a ton of money on things that I may call “regret buying”.

Benefit’s Roller Lash claims to  grabs, separates, lifts, and curls with it’s hook ‘n’ Roll brush and holds for 12 hours. It also claims to be water resistant and lengthens eyelashes.  Hmmmm. . .I have short asian lashes that grows straight and down. Comment down below if you have short lashes too! They’re a struggle to keep curled high up to Jesus! If you know what I’m sayin.  So I prefer waterproof macaras to hold them high and make my eyes look awake. So let’s test it out.

Application

The brush looks similar to the Maybelline lash sensational wand. Curved with individual bristles to lengthen and separate eyelashes to achieve a full fan effect. The consistency  is thick and dries up quickly.

Let me pull you guys in closer. . .closer . . .Let’s focus on the lashes.

After I curled my lashes, I quickly applied the Benefit Roller Lash with a light hand and focused the application on the bottom of the lash wiggled the wand then coated the rest of it.  My. . .my was I surprised! It weighed them down. So I tested it on my other eye hoping that it would perform better and still the results were the same. I was very disappointed with the performance. Good thing I got this in a sample size. That’s the thing, when purchasing mascara, this could be a hit or miss and this totally was a miss! The full size amount was at $24 sample size was around $12.

Pros

  • True black color
  • Waterproof
  • Lengthens
  • Dries up quickly

Cons

  • Weighed my lashes

For my short lashes, this didn’t work! I’m sorry to say that I don’t recommend this if you have short lashes.

  1. First of all, “curled high up to Jesus!” That mad me lol so hard 😂😂😂
Second, I’m glad you wrote about this because I must be living under a rick cuz I didn’t hear about this mascara before! And thank god u only bought the sample size that wouldi been horrible if you didn’t! I think you should try mascaras with a lighter formula to help them stay up. I remember michelle phan has a YouTube video where she recommends great mascaras for many types of lashes! I hope this helps!

Thank you for the great review! Have a nice day 💗💗💗

    1. Hello there, I guess so but to be honest the formula was great, not clumpy but it was too heavy on my lashes. It does work great on longer lashes just not on shorter ones like mine. I’m tempted to curl my lashes after applying the mascara but I saw ladies ripping out their lashes in the process. Yikes! I’m thinking of letting the formula dry out a bit, It might just work.
