Hello beauties! Let’s talk about color correctors. This specific one is from city color. Spot concealers are great for hiding hyperpigmentations like blemishes or dark under eye circles. I got mine in my Ipsy Glambag and just wanted to show you guys if it works. The corrector has a peachy tone as it looks on the pan. But once I swatched it, it had a light base that blended almost to nothing. I tested it out by itself to check if it would color correct some discoloration on my under eyes.
I came up with some steps to simplify how I used the product.
- Start with a clean face
- After applying the corrector, I immediately set it with powder. I chose a loose foundation powder for this step so it would add a little coverage since I did not use any foundation.
- Brush off the excess.
- Under eyes are concealed.
This is a super close up of the spot corrector under my eyes. I noticed that it did nothing at all to conceal my dark under eye. One good thing about this is that it blended well to my skin tone, so well that it did not conceal. I say forget this product. If I were to rate this, I would give it a 1/5. The peachy to salmon tone way ideal to hide hyper pigmentation, so when topped off with a foundation of choice, It diminishes or color corrects. But this did nothing at all.
