Hello Beauties! Welcome to Eye See Something Blog.
For the past month, I’ve been testing out a hack on how to remove blackheads using baking soda and a pore strip remover. I usually purchase the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strip remover from Ulta. My blackheads are not that prominent and oftentimes I use the strip only once or twice a month. I tried squeezing them out but it really hurts! Dermatologist highly recommend getting those nasty blackheads out by a professional but who got time and money for that???? Just kidding, if you guys have a budget or by all means, do what you please. But this blog is simply about enhancing the performance of a pore strip remover to pull out those nasty blackheads from our given nose!
At first I was kinda hesitant to apply baking soda on my face. Because on an open wound, it will burn! Especially if it accidentally lands on the eyes. So be careful!
These are the items:
Baking soda and a pore strip remove from Biore. You may choose any brand of your choice. First I clean my whole face then wash it off with a warm water to open up my pores. Then I take some of the basking soda paste and exfoliate my nose gently for 10 seconds then wash it off with warm then cold water. To make the paste, simply add drops of water to a tablespoon of baking soda. Note that adding too much water will make the baking soda too liquidy. So just add a little water. Once my face is still damp, I immediately apply the nose strip. Nose strips must be applied on wet skin to make it adhere better. Gently press the nose strip on the edges of the nose and spread out air bubbles if there are any. Then lastly, leave the nose strip to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes.
This is an inexpensive hack to enhance a pore strip to pull out blackheads on the face. I usually pull out a few before I discovered this hack. I hope this helps. Try a patch test first if you haven’t used baking soda on your skin.
