Loreal Voluminous Noir Liner

Hello beauties! I hope everyone is having a splendid morning or evening wherever you are I hope all is well and  welcome to Eye See Something! Today were gonna be talking about eyeliners. Yes, it is a struggle to create a cat eye on a daily basis. Needless to say, makeup application does not always go as flawlessly as one might hope. I’ve tried eyeliners from a gel, brush tip, felt tip and pencil. Watching Youtube videos encouraged me to practice my eye liner game. Beauty Gurus make it seem so easy! But then again, they would recommend “high end” make up, which was a bummer since I don’t like spending a lot of money just practice makeup. But I did end up purchasing a lot of cheap ones that didn’t last that long. Some just dried out by just leaving the cap off. (e.g elf felt tip liners). So I purchased this eyeliner in target. It’s not high end btw. Loreal’s Voluminous Noir Liner for $10.

I prefer felt tip liners because they give a more precise line and the liner itself is super easy to apply. Most felt tip liners I tried in the past had a very “stiff” pen. But this one, oh my! The liner is as thin as you can go or as thick as you want because of the flexible tip.

0.01 mm ultra fine tip. black finish. create a mesmerizing cat eye.

The liner claims to:

  • provide smooth and precise application
  • all day wear
  • smudge resistant
  • ophthalmologist tested

Can create thick or thin lines.

The color I picked out was labeled 300 or Blackest Black Noir Profound. The liner dried up to a black glossy finish.

At the end of the day I did notice the Loreal Voluminous Noir Liquid Eyeliner fading off and flaking a bit. I had it on for more that 8 hours. I did rub my eyes a few times because I didn’t realize I had makeup. But this eyeliner was pretty impressive as compared to other cheaper ones I purchased.

The eyeliner faded after a few hours. Don’t mind my freckles or a.k.a pekas! (tagalog for sunspots).

My thoughts:

  • very easy to apply
  • precise application
  • great color pay off (blackest black)
  • did not irritate my eyes
  • long wearing (as compared to drugstore alternatives e.g essence, elf)
  • did not give me “panda eyes” despite me accidentally rubbing it

  • Drying time takes a minute
  • Flakes off during the day
  • Fades after a decent amount of hours (worn it 8 hours but still held through)

Overall I did like this eyeliner. I did not flake off and the formula was great not too watery. It made it through the day so a plus for long wearing. As for the smudge proof claim, it was not totally smudge resistant. I prime my lids with the elf eyelid primer to make the liner last a little longer and prevent it from transferring to my lids.

I hope this review helps! What holy grail drugstore eyeliners do you guys have? Let me know on the comments section below.
