Hello July! Let’s start off the month with a skincare blog and this is about Daiso’s $1.50 face masks! I am so excited to share with you guys my thoughts about this amazing and super affordable face mask! Plus it had 7 individual masks in one pack! Super cheap but is it worth trying? Eye See tried it for you, so your welcome. Let’s move on to the review.
Face masks are slowing getting into all beauty products out in the market. It maybe due to the influence of korean beauty products. But with it comes a price tag not all can afford. I’ve spotted this sheet mask from daiso for only a $1.50 but does it work? One thing I took into consideration for this sheet masks are the ingredients. Aside from the fact that the instructions are not translated, I spotted two important ingredients which are COLLAGEN and SNAIL SECRETIONS.
Collagen is known to be a super food for your face. When applied to the skin on a regular basis it can make your skin smooth and supple while reducing the signs of aging hence the name ‘youth protein’. Collagen masks offer distinct benefits. They cover so much of the skin’s surface and are infused with an array of ingredients that deeply penetrate and moisturize the skin. As an added benefit, when you leave collagen mask on your face, it hydrates and tightens the skin, giving you an instant face lift.
Snail secretions on the other hand is packed with nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans, and antimicrobial and copper peptides, all of which are commonly used in beauty products and proven to be beneficial for the skin.
With all the science involved, let’s put it to the test.
Each pack contains 7 individual sheet masks. As instructed, Use one mask a day for atleast 20 mins. As the image on the pack portrays, the mask is to be worn after cleansing the face. I use mine every night instead. I find it more relaxing and in that way the formula would be fully absorbed.
The sheets were a bit thin but not easily breakable. It had no scent and a clear essence. I would compare this masks to what Etude House had in some of their individually packed masks. It did not irritate my skin. What I do for my sheet masks to lock in the moisture is to put them in the fridge and every night after I cleanse my face, I just place them on. Sometimes I apply my clinique moisturizer then put on the mask. The mask dried up quicker, just about 20 mins.
After testing the mask for 7 days, I did notice that my skin was smoother and a lot more hydrated. This is a good alternative to use if you have a tight budget and just wanted to try facial masks in your daily skin routine. I would definitely repurchase and test out other sheet masks from daiso.
Let me know what types of sheet masks you have tried. I would love to know. Thanks for stopping by!
