I have oily to combination skin, meaning I get really oily in my T-zone and dry on my cheeks. Searching for a mild cleanser that targets oily skin might be a struggle but here’s what I found, it’s affordable and great for sensitive skin!
Occasionally I get a monthly visitor named Gloria (a pimple) that appears on my forehead, nose and sometimes around my cheeks. As much as I would love to pop Gloria out of my face, I let her sit there until she dries up.(As recommended by dermatologists) And I found a solution on how to dry him up gently until she finally leaves me alone.
Meet cetaphil =)
Cetaphil is best known as a mild and gently facial cleanser. It is non- comodegenic and non-irritating meaning that is specially formulated so as not to cause blocked pores and does not irritate your skin.
I purchased mine at target in the 8 fl oz or 237mL size.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser has a low-foaming formulation that is gentle enough to use on your face every day. It removes excess oil without drying. Clinically proven to deep clean skin according to their site.
How to use
Massage a small amount onto wet skin then rinse.
I use it daily as a facial wash. After removing all of my makeup with my simple make up remover, I foam up the cetaphil facial cleanser then lightly rub it all over my face. It did not foam up so much due to it’s low lather formula. It’s unscented which is a plus (not a fan of heavily scented facial wash), and it left my face squeeky clean with a little bit of tightness. It may be due to the formulation since it targeted normal to oily skin. It has a clear gel formula. I just pump a pea size, lather it up with water, clean my face with it then rinse. I noticed that Gloria ( the pimple) did dry out and did not reappear as frequent and my skin felt softer after using it for a while now. I do really recommend this for oily combination skin especially with sensitive types.
- Non-comedogenic (does not clog pores)
- Gentle for everyday use
- Pea size amount would clean my whole face! This lasts for months.
- Affordable at $6
- Leaves my skin soft after every wash
