Belo Lightening Soap Review

Uneven Skintone? Sunburn? Or you just wanna show off that skin but unsure due to than unwanted tan line?

Try lightening soaps.

Lightening Soaps are used to effectively treat hyperpigmentation, dark spots, acne scars, and melasma. With regular use, you will start seeing results in a matter of weeks. Back in the philippines, lightening or brightening soaps, lotion, creams are everywhere! There’s a gimmick of looking so fair and so radiance. I just don’t get it. But anyway, moving on to the review.

Product claims:

A nourishing body bar that drenches skin in lavish moisture as it visibly whitens in just seven days! Skin vitamins moisturize, while Micro-encapsulated Technology encloses active ingredients in microspheres to ensure maximum whitening power. Expertly formulated, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. Use daily with Belo Essentials Whitening Lotion for best results.

It also contains kojic acid and gluatathione. Both are known to lighten skin.

Packaging:

The soap comes in a box. 135 mg of product and I purchased it in my  local asian store. (ranch 99). In the Philippines it’s about 45 pesos, converted to dollars, around $1. But ofcourse if purchased overseas, it’s $4.99.

Scent:
It smells like s regular soap. Nothing too much about it. Which I guess is a good thing.
Effectiveness:
The product claims to lighten your skin in 7 days.I tested the whole bar soap and it lasted me a good month. I did notice patches on my skin, meaning it did lighten it but not evenly. My unwanted T-shirt sunburn was still visible but did lighten a little bit. The effect was not immediate. I also did noticed that the soap left my skin dry, although it claimed to be moisturizing, meh. The soap does not melt that quickly as compared to the normal dove bath soap. So I guess I got what I paid for. No dramatic results and effectiveness would be a 1/5.

I do not promote skin lightening or bleaching. I am aware that these types of skincare products can be damaging to the skin if used excessively. Please do not try this if you have underlying skin conditions. For professional advice visit a dermatologist.
