Ipsy is a make up and skincare monthly subscription. To subscribe, you need to visit this site https://www.ipsy.com/ click on GET STARTED then a customized questionnaire will pop up aimed to guide Ipsy to deliver the most accurate make up samples you prefer. Awesome! Plus you get a sneek peek of items released before your bag comes with a perk that you can mail Ipsy to request what items they have. It can be tool brushes, make up sample or even skincare ones. Plus the whole bag plus items costs $10 plus tax depending on the country of destination.
And these are the samples I got for March 2017.
Skone Blending Brush
The brush had soft bristles great for blending the crease area or achieving a nose contour. It had a rose gold finish on the top portion of the brush that made me want it more. This was a great steal!
Tarteist Lip paint in Delish
It applies like a soft cream that dries to a matte finish. the color pay off is a brownish mauve ideal for everyday use but after a wear test, the color fades through out the day. Not really smudge proof.
City Color Photo Chic Dark spot corrector (Bottom)
The dark spot corrector would be a plus for concealing dark areas on the eyes
So Susan blush and glow in Rose Rust (Top)
This blush had an old rose pigment warm enough on my skin it kinda went for a highlight finish instead of a blush. I had to add on pigment to actually see the color pay off. I use it for a day make up look with a glow.
First- So Susan Blush in Rose Rust
Second- City Color Dark Spot Corrector
Third- Tarte Lip paint in Delish
Plus I was missing one item the Mint Pear collagen serum ( I used it up then threw the packaging away)
A tingling sensation was initially felt upon application and for the size, a little goes a long way leaving my skin soft and supple. I used it after cleansing my face at night.Pros:
- Affordable for $10 plus tax of .48 for US residents
- Travel size
- Glam Bag Sneek Peak released days ahead and may pick out samples for the next month if items are still available
- Can unsubscribe anytime!
- Referral incentives and points from reviews
- So many choices of brands to choose from ( that’t just me)
- Wait listed if first time subscriber
I personally tried Ipsy because I didn’t know what to expect, I had my hopes up too much on getting items I selected but a tip if planning to get a glam bag is to select only brands you really want on your bag as well as items. Selecting a lot may lower your chances of getting the items you really want. But if you don’t mind surprises, Go for it! Sample sizes are great for testing out products if we are not quite sure what to buy.
